City Council amends affordable housing ordinance

PA EASTON — Easton City Council amends affordable housing ordinance. The council unanimously approved amendments to Bill No. 12 revising Chapter 176 Affordable Housing, broadening section 176-3 criteria following discussion led by Council Member Julie Zando-Dennis. The council also passed five resolutions: approving a fourth handicap parking space at 1121 Washington Street, establishing public advertisement requirements for committee agendas, accepting a Hugh Moore Park Charitable Trust transfer and creating an oversight fund, approving a three-year fire inspection contract, and authorizing a VM Development dumpster pad agreement on Pine Street.

Council Member Crystal Rose abstained on the dumpster pad vote. The council introduced five bills covering fire safety inspections, parking restrictions, and the firefighters' pension plan.
