Council approves senior property tax rebate, assistant solicitors

PA EASTON — Easton City Council approves senior property tax rebate and appoints assistant solicitors. On January 2, the city council voted unanimously to enact Bill 82 establishing a property tax rebate for seniors and unanimously confirmed two assistant city solicitor appointments: Michael J. Vargo and Brian C.
Lawser. The council also unanimously approved Resolution 004-2026 authorizing the 2026 city salary and wages structure. Resolution 001-2026, approving appointments and re-appointments to authorities and boards, passed 5-2, with Councilmembers Frank Pintabone and Crystal Rose voting against.
All seven council members were present.
