Easton approves Canal Street property sale

PA EASTON — Easton City Council approves Canal Street property sale and advances infrastructure projects. The council unanimously approved the sale of 324-362 Canal Street property and a six-month parking agreement with St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, with potential for expansion.
Council also authorized traffic signal replacement at Northampton and 13th Street with Armour & Sons Electric and directed the Department of Community and Economic Development to pursue a Lehigh Valley Greenways Mini-Grant. Mayor Salvatore J. Panto Jr. delivered his State of the City address, and six police officers were sworn in: Matthew Stanley, Avery Hutchison, Myles Dutt, Bailey Witt, Austin Brett, and Kyle Perl.
City Solicitor Joel Scheer announced he will depart April 15.
