Easton Council approves three resolutions, tables lease renewal
City Council · Meeting of July 8, 2026
PA EASTON — Easton City Council unanimously approved three resolutions authorizing grant applications and an appointment to the Board of Health while tabling a cemetery lease renewal. The council authorized Easton DCED to apply for an Automated Red Light Enforcement Award and a Sesquicentennial Grant (Resolutions 123-2026 and 124-2026), and approved a Board of Health appointment (Resolution 125-2026), with Council Member Frank Pintabone moving the grant resolutions. City Administrator Luis Campos reported mounting budget pressures: a $200,000 healthcare billing carryover from the prior year, a $70,000 revenue shortfall from the Confluence project, and fire department overtime projected to exceed budget by $200,000 to $300,000.
The council deferred the Restlawn Lease Agreement renewal for further discussion at its next meeting.
