Planning Commission advances zoning framework for growth

Planning Commission · Meeting of March 4, 2026

PA EASTON — Easton Planning Commission advances zoning authority amid accelerating growth. Commissioners voted unanimously to recommend increasing zoning-notice radius from 100 to 200 feet and establishing supplementary standards for data centers and advanced manufacturing. A separate motion on Planning Commission compensation passed 4-1, with Dr.

Ken Greene dissenting, recommending that City Council hold a workshop. The votes address development pressure: 2,600 residential units have been proposed and the city's population is projected to grow nearly 14 percent by 2050.
